North Bay Bavarian is an incredible shop. I do a lot of work on my own cars, but when I don't have time or desire to do a specific job (or it's beyond my abilities), I bring my BMW and Mini here. Their team is incredible - They take the time to explain your options and their recommendations, and they don't try to oversell you on things that you don't need. They're prompt and stick to their timelines. I feel like they are a good value for the money. I have zero reason to even think about going anywhere else - that's about the best recommendation I can give!

If you own a bmw new or old and you have it serviced anywhere else you are doing yourself a disservice. They guys at north bay Bavarian have consistently showed me what it means to be an honest and reliable shop. I have a 1988 BMW and I wouldn’t trust anyone else with the constant list of mechanical needs. I’m all about supporting small local businesses and these guys are exactly why. James and Matt walked me through every step of the way and got me out the door 700$ under my budget, where else do you get that kind of honesty? I can’t recommend North Bay Bavarian enough, they certainly will have my business as long as I own a BMW/Mini.

Today was our second time here. They were highly recommended from another shop. Super friendly staff that is honest and helpful! We had a couple of warning/reminder lights that came on. They took at look, confirmed that we recently changed the oil (mileage wise) and reset the warning lights while topping the fluids to ensure all is working well. No charge, just smiles and wishing me well. I was in/out in 20 minutes. That guaranteed us as a return customer.

My vehicle has only been out of warranty a little more than a year, so I had been asking friends and reading reviews about BMW repair shops that would do a good job for a fair price. The name that kept coming up was North Bay Bavarian. I had my first service there a year ago, and was amazed at the quality of work, and how comfortable they made me feel...even before I took my car in. I talked to James Row on the phone and mentioned several of my friends who have had cars serviced at North Bay Bavarian. James remembers them all, and has a personal story about each one.
Every time I've called for an appointment, they've made arrangements to get me in quickly and work around my schedule. If I tell them I need to wait for my vehicle, they start the service shortly after I arrive and finish in an acceptable time. They are also willing to chat with me in the waiting room while I wait for the service to be completed. It was like hanging out with old friends. Even though I hadn't been there in several months, it was like our conversation simply picked up where we left off at my last visit. And what other auto repair shop has Kombucha on tap in the waiting room?!
Visits to North Bay Bavarian are always pleasant, and reasonably priced.

This is s quality business where you are treated respectfully and provided full explanations for the services/repairs provided.
Their pricing may be higher than some BMW service providers in the community, but as the old saying goes "you get what you pay for" and in this case their customer friendly/quality approach is an added bonus. They have provided me with quality maintenance and upgrades for my M3.
More recently, they inspected my M3 just before the holidays for a sudden onset problem and did so in a welcoming fashion. My only regret, is that I did not, at that time, show a comparable appreciation for their efforts. This has prompted this well deserved appreciative acknowledgment!

In 2005, I was considering purchasing a 2001 325i BMW from a third party. A good friend of mine suggested I take the BMW to Rick Row at North Bay Bavarian and have them do an inspection before purchasing the car. Based on their inspection, I purchased the car.
I’ve taken my 2001 BMW to North Bay Bavarian ever since for regular maintenance, and with 305,000 miles, it’s still going strong.

As someone who has loved, raced, owned, traded in BMWs for decades. As someone who even owned a BMW repair facility myself; I'm can confidently recommend North Bay Bavarian. They have a well rounded staff, with a wealth of knowledge and experience. They will never tell you your car needs something it doesn't, just to make a buck. They stand behind their work. As a family business, there's a continuity, that can't be found in other shops' the right hand knows what the left hand is doing. Modern high line automobiles can be very humbling, it's important to specialize, have the right equipment, training and experience to diagnose, without simply 'throwing parts' at the car in an effort to effect repairs. Getting it right the first time saves time and money.
North Bay handles my own race car, classic BMW and many cars for re-sale. I know the best eyes have assessed the vehicle, so I can feel good about condition.

Terrific service and reasonable rates for maintaining my aging 2004 Mini Cooper S. I originally booked an appointment for just an oil change, during which the tech discovered leaking coolant. Upon closer inspection, there was a small crack on the backside of the reservoir not visible from the front, which cracked wide open while being removed. Replacing the reservoir only took an additional 20 minutes and saved my engine from a potential disaster down the road. Definitely recommend North Bay Bavarian.

North Bay Bavarian doesn’t have a shuttle, fancy coffee, or a shiny showroom, but they DO have skilled mechanics, friendly service and fair pricing! I brought my car in for excessive road noise thinking it might be a suspension issue. It ended up being just excessive tire pressure (and bad roads!). Even though the bushings were worn, they weren’t in need of replacement yet. That’s good, honest service.

These guys helped us out with our Mini when our run flat tire was punctured. It was Friday afternoon, close to 5pm, and we were on our way to Healdsburg. They patched the tire and had us on our way in under an hour. During our wait we were treated to a family comedy show and thoroughly enjoyed getting a peek into the family business. I have used North Bay Bavarian for years… And I don’t know what I would do without them. Especially because I own a higher end car, a BMW, I need to know I can trust my service department. They are so very very honest, and so very very thorough. Whenever you have a situation, they try to work with you in order to save you the cost of your repairs. And they always forewarn you if they see some thing that you may need replaced in the future . They are also readily available with a loaner car so I can go to work while they repair my vehicle. I’m looking for a new vehicle now as mine is a 2008, because of them I will probably stay with the BMW because I have a service department I can trust. It means the world to me.

I have taken our BMW cars to North Bay Bavarian for over 15 years. They are the only BMW shop I trust outside of warranty work. This last visit Bay Area Bavarian installed on our new Z4, a complete Bavsound system, Crystal controls, refitted the license plate holder to beyond factory specs. North Bay Bavarian has been servicing my classic 2002 BMW 540i for close to 10 years now. Throughout this time, they have consistently provided excellent service and kept my baby running at her best.

Last week my car was diagnosed with some significant issues. Friends deemed the car pretty much worthless without these problems being fixed, however, the cost to repair my car was close to the amount the car might be worth if used for a trade in.

Due to my experience with North Bay Bavarian, I decided to go ahead and have the technicians there complete the necessary repairs.

They provided a detailed estimate on the work that needed to be done, were polite, kept me posted on their progress, provided timely service, a free loaner - - and did an outstanding job on the repairs! The other day I was able to pick up my classic BMW and driving home it was just as great as when it was new!

I totally recommend this business if you're looking for a business to take professional care of your BMW.

Had an unexpected coolant leak while traveling for work and had to fix it ASAP! Called these guys and were able to fit me in first thing the next morning. These guys are the real deal. I don’t like taking my cars to shops, but needed some help with tougher projects that I didn’t have tools for. I’d take my car back to them in the future without hesitation due to how professional and organized they are.

This shop is one of the best out there, no question about it. They work on everything from rare classics to race cars to daily drivers and treat them all with the same immaculate care. They were really communicative throughout the whole process, much more open and honest than any other shop I’ve been to.
