Models 1991 and before require Inspection I at 15,000 miles, 30,000 miles, 45,000 miles, 75,000 miles, etc.
Models 1992-1998 and the 1999 E36 require Inspection I at 20,000 miles, 60,000 miles, 100,000 miles, etc.
Models 1999 to Now (excluding the ’99 E36) require Inspection I at 30,000 miles, 90,000 miles, 150,000 miles, etc.
At what frequency is BMW Inspection II required?
Models 1991 and before require Inspection II at 30,000 miles, 60,000 miles, 90,000 miles, 120,000 miles, etc.
Models 1992-1998 and the 1999 E36 require Inspection II at 40,000 miles, 80,000 miles, 120,000 miles, etc.
Models 1999 to Now (excluding the ’99 E36) require Inspection II at 60,000 miles, 120,000 miles, 180,000 miles, etc.

What is the BMW Service Indicator?
This system calculates maintenance requirements for your exact vehicle based on your mileage, driving habits, minutes per trip, road conditions and weather conditions. This system will notify you when it’s time to return to North Bay Bavarian for a service appointment.
