BMW Service Remains Dependable According to J.D. Power
J.D. Power and Associates is a global marketing information services company that surveys customer satisfaction, product quality, and buyer behavior for industries ranging from cars to marketing and advertising firms. JD Power is the pinnacle in determining customer reviews and satisfaction across a number of industries. We at North Bay Bavarian are pleased with BMWs results in the latest survey. In this quick post, we add some context to the survey and explain how BMW as a brand performed.
North Bay Offers Dependable BMW Service for a Dependable Brand
Every year, JD Power posts its findings in the dependability department, causing somewhat of a large response in the auto world from just about every manufacturer. The aim of the Vehicle Dependability Study (VDS) is to find which car brands are expected to fail the least during the last 12 months of the incipient three years of ownership of the vehicle in question. While some of their findings are up for debate, this year BMW received a bit of good news.
For 2018, JD Power ranked BMW up quite a bit, close to the top, even. BMW placed 8th behind Chevrolet and Hyundai, with an average of 127 problems per 100 vehicles. To get a clearer picture, Lexus, the overall winner, posted 99 issues per 100 cars, followed by Porsche with 100 and Buick with 116.
So overall, BMW didn’t so bad, which is good news for the brand and for us, as we’ve always backed the BMW brand and its dependability.
